Spring and Summer Festivals Perfect for RV Camping

If you love to go to festivals, you know there are many great options across the United States. Staying in an RV at the festival gives you more time to enjoy all the activities and a terrific place to take a break when you get tired. It also allows you to prepare your meals, which makes going to festivals less expensive.

Florida Folk Festival

The Florida Folk Festival occurs annually in late May at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in White Springs. Listen to folk music and watch artisans make traditional crafts during this three-day festival. This state park has 45 campsites with water and electricity.

Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival

Head to Manchester, Tennessee, in mid-June for the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. This seven-day festival features multiple stages with bands playing different types of music, ranging from Indie rock to bluegrass. There is also a waterslide, numerous vendors, and an old-time carnival. Enjoy the activities by staying in the two campgrounds. Each has a plaza, where you will find secret shows, celebrity surprises and late-night parties.

Country Jam

Country Jam is the largest country music festival in Colorado. This late-June festival occurs annually for three days in Grand Junction. Three different levels of camping are available, depending on how close you want to be to the festival grounds. Note that you must have a three-day pass to camp at the concert RV campgrounds at this location.

Finger Lakes Wine Festival

Sample over 600 wines from over 80 New York wineries at the Finger Lakes Wine Festival. This early-July festival occurs at the Watkins Glen International Racetrack in Watkins Glen, New York. You can also visit with local artists, eat gourmet foods, and take winemaking classes. The best concert RV campgrounds at this festival are along pit road, where electric hookups are available, but they also offer a general festival RV campground, where bathrooms and water are available nearby.

Bryce Canyon Astronomy Festival

Bryce Canyon National Park hosts their fabulous four-day astronomy festival in mid-June. World-class speakers are on hand to teach you more about the stars. While you will enjoy the daytime activities, the best part of attending this festival is the nightly stargazing parties. It is easy to get to them because there are shuttles from Ruby Inn’s Campground, where you will find 250 campsites, and Sunset Campground, where there are 50 RV sites. The best festival RV campgrounds at this event are in the North Campground because many events occur there.
